A staple of Marine Serre Couture, this premium sheepskin leather is made in Italy and has a satin sheen that naturally gives off light, as though it has already acquired a delicate patina over time. The grained, structured leather is then heat-embossed to reveal the house’s Moonogram print. Crafted from pillowcases sourced in the United Kingdom in the 1960s and transformed in France, this extraordinary fabric forms part of the House’s core materials. The forgotten techniques of upcycled embroidered household linen are saved from oblivion and upcycled into unique, transcending garments evoking soft, delicate and sensual imagery.
Each one-of-a-kind piece is filled with history through its embroideries, smoothly placed to highlight the beauty of this rare fabric. The original white tones of the pillowcases are also dyed black to play with ceremonial references and subtle contrasts.
