All the cotton Marine Serre sources for Borderline is GOTS-certified — this world-leading textile processing standard chiming with the house’s own well-known commitment to protecting the planet. In terms of the silhouettes across these ranges, we wanted to offer a wide range of everyday styles that are directly inspired by the world of sportswear. Our Moon Logo Jersey lines come in a range of traditional colours (white, black and grey, but in most cases lilac too) spun out across t-shirts, tanks and dresses, as well as underwear. These garments are finished in the classic way familiar from sportwear garments, with our Moon Logo in raised embroidery just below the neckline. Some of the Recycled Cotton Jerseys (lilac and grey) feature our MS Sport logo — a print moon with Marine Serre embroidered above, and we have also expanded our palette with seasonal colours such as red and blue, bearing a Gradient All Over Moon print.

MARINE SERRE JACQUARD KNIT

A brand-new striped pattern has been devised and jacquard knit into a mohair blend yarn; the yarn’s soft and fuzzy feel is ideal for the off-season. The striped pattern on these garments not only echoes the glorious history of vintage ski sweaters, but also builds on a broader preppy aesthetic this season. Look closer and you’ll see a blue Marine Serre Moon surrounded by diamonds, plus the designer’s name running across the front of the pieces.

This virgin wool knit has a neat jersey stitch and has been designed to work as a refined everyday staple. The preppy influence running across the collection is once again present and correct, particularly in the short-sleeved women’s sweatshirt and fitted cardigan. For a more adventurous look that taps into the body-con aesthetic of dance, the ultra-cropped women’s sweater features a striking cut-out effect; this very contemporary twin set is comprised of an under layer topped by a second layer consisting of the sleeves and the very top of the garment. There is also a versatile men’s fitted sweater. These simple and wearable looks are elevated by a retro logo that taps into the nostalgia and appeal of vintage luggage labels. Pieces either feature a large centrally placed jacquard knit logo in a lozenge (in the case of the men’s sweater) or a smaller embroidered triangle. The range comes in easy-to-wear grey and red.

Marine Serre’s Moon Jacquard Knit is a brand new translation of our iconic Recycled Moon Jersey in a new material. Here the iconic Moon all over motif is represented with a blended FSC viscose and wool yarn jacquard knit. It is incredibly soft so it can also be worn directly on the skin if one so desires.

Iconic All Over Moon motif adorns this blended FSC-approved viscose and wool yarn jacquard knit. The shapes present in this family run in parallel to those in the wider Moon Logo range and serve to accentuate the collection’s idea of translation and metamorphosis, almost as if our iconic Recycled Moon Jersey magically transformed into knitwear. The line has a strong sportswear dynamic with the addition of thumbholes in some of the pieces. This wool blend jacquard knit is slightly warmer and thicker than the Moon Logo Knit, however, but also so incredibly soft that it can also be worn directly on the skin.
