The Louvre has always been a source of inspiration for Marine Serre — a universe of forms, a matrix of symbols and myths, a parade of icons that imprint, like afterimages, the contemporary silhouettes she creates for her fashion House.

It is this relationship with the Musée, the archive, the collections and history that illuminates this collaboration, at the convergence of two creative worlds: the Musée and the workshop, the painter's gesture and the couturier's hand.

This dialogue between Marine Serre and the Musée du Louvre comes to fruition with the launch of a collaboration around the Mona Lisa, through the upcycling language that defines the House.

Following the unveiling of the couture looks created in dialogue with the Louvre, as part of the fall-winter 2026 collection, Marine Serre has created an exclusive three-piece capsule that reinterprets the Mona Lisa in keeping with the House’s spirit of repurposing and regeneration.

The creative potential of ‘arts de la table’ is here fully explored: the ends of cutlery are used as strong center pieces for clip earrings or necklaces, while their handles are upcycled into drop earrings. Finding new uses to old objects, unique spoons and forks can be easily recognized.

YELLOW PYTHON PRINT

For this season, our designers took inspiration from the patterns and motifs of rainforest snakes to create a motif that could be applied as a trompe l’oeil to several of our materials. It features soft shades of grey and beige, tones that are omnipresent in this collection. As is usual for many of our trompe l'oeil motifs, the print has been manipulated to curve along the shape of the body, just as if the snakeskin garment was the wearer’s outer skin.
