Graphic-print sweatshirts adopt the same codes and the same ironic attitude as their t-shirt counterparts. Although just as present in our day-to-day lives, it was only last season that we upcycled them for the first time — an innovation which wasn’t easy to pull off, as high-quality sweatshirts are harder to track down. Garments are sourced in classic black, all the better to make the graphics pop, before being deconstructed and recomposed in a mosaic design that highlights each individual print while setting them in new constellations. In keeping with the desire to honour the garments’ origins, we have chosen to launch this new range with classic American staples: a hoodie, sweatpants and drawstring shorts, with a cropped sweatshirt for women. Sweatshirts have not been overdyed for ecological reasons so extra care was required to get the right shades during sourcing. The MS Regenerated logo is prominently stamped on each garment. Due to the artisanal nature of the regeneration process, each piece is unique.

The Faded Moon pattern is a brand new translation of our Moon all over motif, directly inspired by the cloudy effect found on this season’s Moon Airbrushed Leather. This special effect was achieved through a digital print that preserved the unique Moon shape all while creating a perfect gradient.

Crafted from pillowcases sourced in the United Kingdom in the 1960s and transformed in France, this extraordinary fabric forms part of the House’s core materials. The forgotten techniques of upcycled embroidered household linen are saved from oblivion and upcycled into unique, transcending garments evoking soft, delicate and sensual imagery.
Each one-of-a-kind piece is filled with history through its embroideries, smoothly placed to highlight the beauty of this rare fabric. The original white tones of the pillowcases are also dyed black to play with ceremonial references and subtle contrasts.

Moon Checks Jacquard is an RWS-certified wool jacquard that is woven in Italy and features a fusion of the Marine Serre Moon and a check pattern in neutral earth tones. Italian tailoring has strongly permeated the new collection, which has been constructed as an ode to the country’s savoir-faire. After conducting extensive research into potential new tailoring materials — always with the challenge of sourcing dormant fabrics suitable for generation — we settled upon rolls of red and grey fabric, the basis of the Regenerated Tailoring range.

A staple of Marine Serre Couture, this premium sheepskin leather is made in Italy and has a satin sheen that naturally gives off light, as though it has already acquired a delicate patina over time. The grained, structured leather is then heat-embossed to reveal the house’s Moonogram print. The pieces in this range draw inspiration from classic tailoring codes, which merge seamlessly with Marine Serre’s resolutely contemporary vision: women’s styles, from fitted coats and jackets, to a glamorous bustier dress, are fitted to follow the curves of the body. The men’s pieces are modern and luxurious wardrobe staples.
