Circularity, for us is the ability to recycle, and to "regenerate" materials that already exist, defining our Modus Operandi in reducing waste by reintegrating the end-of-life products into a cyclical process that ensure transparency and adaptability of our resources.

Upcycled and recycled materials are at the center of our design process. Today, around 50% of our shows are composed of upcycled products. The other half sees us working with innovative and sustainable fibers, such as biodegradable yarns and recycled fibers.

Practice

Practice

Regenerating is the practice of using dead stock, vintage and end-of-life materials or finished garments as an adaptable base for creating new products that are distinct from their former selves: a method more commonly known as 'upcycling'.

Program

Program

Since Marine Serre's debut collection in 2016, ahead of founding the brand, regenerating garments has been fundamental to her ethos, marking a radical commitment to circularity in the fashion industry's networks, encompassing the sourcing of fabrics, the design process and the production of the collections.

Label

Label

Each regenerated garment has a label that specifies the material used, its origins and the location of its transformation. The materials are carefully selected, washed and treated at our studio in Paris, before being sent to manufacturing partners who produce the seasonal collections. We have long-standing collaborations with factories located in Italy, Portugal and France who valiantly support this way of producing garments.

Journey

Journey

We document the regenerating process at its epicentre, in the locations where the garments are assembled, making an ongoing series of short films that allow the viewer to be part of a journey into our factories: to be among its artisans and their rituals; to see a delicate adaptation of unwanted and yet resilient materials; and to witness their renewal as garments and accessories.

Mode de vie

Mode de vie

Regeneration is a mutual endeavour that requires the investment of time and creativity in order to stimulate and rethink the cycle of fashion, and to restore dignity to materials that are damaged and discarded, giving them a new purpose, form and duration.
